He Has Risen! - Happy Easter

"Christ is Risen!",

              "Truly, He is Risen"

At the Coptic Church, Greek and Coptic responds are used:

Coptic:
ⲠⲓⲬⲣⲓⲥⲧⲟⲥ ⲁϥⲧⲱⲛϥ! Ϧⲉⲛ ⲟⲩⲙⲉⲑⲙⲏⲓ ⲁϥⲧⲱⲛϥ!
(Pikhristos Aftonf! Khen oumethmi aftonf!)

Greek (more common):
Christos Anesti ("Χριστός ἀνέστη!")
Alithos Anesti ("Ἀληθῶς ἀνέστη! ")

Wish you all the best for Easter. May God forgive us all.

Here is a little video about the meaning of Easter:

Hello, my fellow brother/sister in Christ. I came across this site and I am glad that you feel to share your faith in Christ and the Orthodox Church. I am glad for this.

However I find that this blog if full of information, links, videos, ads, and such that do not represent the Orthodox faith, and are from sources that would conflict with Orthodoxy. Most seems to be from Protestants.

Remember that it is always better to learn from the truth and not from the sources that present some truth, but which would otherwise speak false teachings.

It would be unwise to let the feral sheep guide the flock. The feral animals are the lost ones who survive without the pastor. They are orphans, and in this case spiritual orphans who wish to lead us astray from our mother, the Church, and make more orphans.

These sources that you use also preach heretical and dangerous beliefs, such as Sola Scriptura, Sola Fide, penal substitutional atonement, and the hersies arising from Blessed Augustine's mistakes, such as his original sin and it's inheritance. All of these cut us off from the vine of life, from the Church, from the truth.

Furthermore your Protestant sources, such as Kirk Cameron's ministries, James White's ministries and the various Zionsist news feeds deny and would attack our Orthodox faith. The greatest example of this is your link to the Aramaic Broadcasting Network, which proseletyzes to our Syriac Orthodox brothers and sisters in the Orthodox flock. They attack our faith, but yet you offer them as useful links, books and videos from which to learn from. These are feral sheep to guide the flock away from Orthodoxy.

What would your Protestant sources say about the Holy Mysteries (particularly confession, the priesthood, and the real Eucharist), and Theosis and prayer to the saints. I know what they would say. It is the same reason why they rejected these things in the first place and do not include these things in their faith.

There are so many Orthodox sources that you can post in your blog and link to. There are so many Orthodox books that you can list in your books section. These should not be viewed as antiquated and less attractive, and therefore less useful. In fact Orthodoxy has the appeal of being an unchanging faith that cannot be shaken.

Your blog is called The Coptic Experience. The Coptic experience is one of Orthodoxy that preserved the Coptic people through a faith so stubborn, fed by the blood of countless martyrs and struggle-bearers. This in the face of heretics and forces who wanted to lead them away from Orthodoxy.

I encourage you to find the Orthodox faith that is laid at your feet. It is a beautiful faith and Truth is beauty.

    In IC XC,

    Ignatios

  2. Hello Brother,

Orthodox faith doesn't prevent you to look at other sources and learn from what your church has problems with. If you would like to have discussion feel free to email me.

I agree with your point of view that Orthodoxy is the most true and most traditional. But I don't agree with idea that any other Christian is wrong, I didn't see Dr. White attacking any other faith! Our orthodox church lacks huge apologetic program that this website based on. It is my experience with something that the orthodox church used to have and then disappeared. It looks like you are coming from Orthodox faith that developed in freedom of religion unlike me growing up in Islamic country.

Don't go and say this and this is wrong just because he is Protestant! yes, we disagree with them but they do say right things too especially related to Christian Apologetics.

True orthodoxy is learning the most true, and leaving the wrong. Just because someone's not orthodox, that doesn't mean every single thing he says is wrong.

God Bless, and I hope to hear from you soon Brother.
